Blackberry-lemon sherbet

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups puréed blackberries
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 3 cups half-and-half
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk

A few notes on making this:

  • You can use fresh or frozen blackberries for this. I prefer fresh.
  • Strain your puree for a smoother sherbet.
  • You will need an ice cream maker for this recipe.

Directions:

  • Add strained puree, and all additional ingredients into food processor and blend together.
  • Add the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions—about 30-40 minutes.
  • After mixture is frozen, remove to container and freeze for an additional hour before serving.
