‘Now To God’ Stockholm Worship Acoustic Performance

A group of talented musicians perform a song about God's life-changing and life-saving power.

All throughout creation, there are marvelous and awe-inspiring works that will leave you stunned. There are no words to adequately describe the majesty of the Grand Canyon, the beauty of the massive glaciers in Alaska or the vastness of the Rocky Mountains. However, these are just a few examples, the tip of the iceberg, of God’s power, wonder and artistry.

In the song “Now to God” by Stockholm Worship, the musicians attempt to describe God and His ability to do more than what our minds can comprehend. There is none like Him. No one will ever come close to measuring up to God, as the song’s first verse mentions.

The track’s chorus again points out God’s ability to do more than anything we could imagine. He, the chorus adds, can and will use his immeasurable power in our lives to bring about change.

“Now to God who is able to do
Immeasurably more
Than we could ever imagine
Through His power at work in our lives”

The song’s second verse is essentially a prayer. The musicians make a request of God on behalf of their friends, family and anyone else who might be searching. The musicians ask the Lord to “reveal Your power” and “show Your grace.”

Finally, and rightfully so, the musicians praise the Lord for everything He has done. All their worship and praise, the musicians sing, belong to the One who still reigns and is still changing lives today.

God can do much more than anything we could ever ask of Him, which is difficult for our minds to comprehend. He truly is deserving of all praise and worship.

Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”

‘Maker’ Matthew West, David Leonard Official Music Video

In one new song, two musicians sing about the Lord’s ability to bring about miracles in seemingly impossible situations.

Life can become overwhelming at times, both physically and emotionally. Situations and circumstances may creep up with massive hurdles that appear nearly impossible. Defeat and pain may look like inevitable outcomes, no matter what we do. However, there is One who has a habit of changing the odds. He can bring about victory in completely hopeless situations.

In the video for the song “Maker,” Matthew West and David Leonard sing and praise the Lord for making the impossible possible. In the song’s opening verse, the musicians describe God bringing down giants and calming the raging waters. In situations where the chance of victory was slim to nonexistent, God has made a way.

In the song’s chorus, the musicians state they have seen the Lord pull off such stunning miracles in life. They also know He will do it again.

“My maker makes a way
When there’s no other way
I’ve seen it before
And I’ll see it again”

The song’s simple but effective lyrics also point out how different our perspective is from God’s. Most humans, when they look at a mountain of a situation, a trying circumstance, will only see the now and the difficulty. However, thankfully, we serve a God who only sees victory in those times.

God also has a long history of proving the naysayers wrong, the lyrics add. Later in the song, the musicians sing that during the deserts of life, God has made rivers. What a beautiful illustration of the powerful and awe-inspiring works of God!

Yes, life can often be trying. But we serve a faithful and loving God who is more than capable of performing miracles. He can make a way when there does not appear to be a path forward!

Matthew 19:26 “Looking at them, Jesus said, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Hillsong UNITED - I Surrender

Listen to the song ‘I Surrender’ by Hillsong UNITED and let the lyrics encourage you as you see God’s face.

“Here I am down on my knees again, surrendering all, surrendering all
And find me here, Lord as You draw me near, desperate for You, desperate for You
I surrender, drench my soul as mercy and grace unfold, I hunger and thirst, I hunger and thirst
With arms stretched wide, I know You hear my cry, speak to me now, speak to me now”

What an incredible and powerful song about our hunger and desperation for God. Matt Crocker of Hillsong UNITED shared about the song and how it came to be.

“‘I Surrender’ was written as we were preparing for our annual Encounter youth conference, which is a pivotal event for our youth ministry every year,” Matt said. “The theme was about having a hunger and desperation for God and we needed a song to really mark the conference with. After talking with our youth pastor I began writing three or four other songs with the conference in mind but kept coming back to these few lyrics, ‘Here I am down on my knees again…surrendering all.’”

Matt continued: “I continued working on the song right up to the time of the first band rehearsals, and as we began rehearsing, we felt God really breathe on the music, and the lyrics, and it became a theme of not just that youth conference but also a song of prayer and personal dedication for our entire church as our worship teams soon began leading it across our weekend services…‘I surrender…I want to know You more…Lord have Your way in me.’”

We hope you enjoyed this music video and listening to ‘I Surrender’ by Hillsong UNITED today.

Hillsong UNITED - Closer Than You Know

Listen to this beautiful song called ‘Closer Than You Know’ by Hillsong UNITED.

“I tempered the storm though your faith was small, I prayed while you slept
And the night waged war, we stood at the fire, and we walked on sea
And we drank of the wine that was made of Me, don't turn your eyes from Me
For My love won't be undone, don't hide your face from Me, for My light has surely come”

The wonderful song is written from the perspective of Jesus himself, and it captures the human aspect of Jesus’ life as he shares stories of the times with his disciples during his ministry. And the song is a great reminder of how close Jesus is to his followers, back then and still today. Even if we don’t always feel his presence, he is closer than we could ever know

Singer Taya Smith of Hillsong UNITED shared that one of her favorite songs to lead is ‘Closer Than You Know.’ She said that the song creates an intimate atmosphere that is great for when the band is leading a crowd in communion.

“Joel [Houston] was writing that song from the perspective of Jesus praying for us before he went to the cross,” Taya said. “And there’s a part in it that’s our response to Jesus. I love that. Joel gets someone to get up and take communion on behalf of everyone that’s there, and it’s just a special moment of putting it before God and having communion with Him.”

We hope that you were encouraged and uplifted by the song ‘Closer Than You Know’ today. May the lyrics remind you how close Jesus is to all of his followers and how we can always look to him as our hope and firm foundation.

Afraid - LaTocha

Check out this song called ‘Afraid’ by LaTocha and be encouraged by the vulnerable lyrics and music video.

“Why does everything feel like a lie, I've been feeling so broken inside
Blaming everything on ones who tried to help me, why, oh why
Is it so difficult not to hide, things I wanna say instead of crying
I just need you help to prove that I won't die, I'm afraid to trust again”

Singer and songwriter LaTocha recently released her music video for her single ‘Afraid.’ She also released her gospel debut album titled The Invitation: A Conversation with God.

The album is one of “love, passion, and healing to help people get in touch with their true selves and find the courage to be vulnerable and honest. LaTocha‘s story on the album is very much the same: to use her own struggle and perseverance to help others find their own strength.”

In the music video for ‘Afraid,’ we see LaTocha calling out to God to help her in her time of need when she finds out that her husband has a secret baby on the way with someone else. “I recorded this song during the darkest period of my life,” shared LaTocha.

“The video is about me facing my fears and being open to ask for help – a reminder that it’s ok to not be ok, and that’s when God can come in and take hold.”

The singer pleads with God to provide her with strength, resilience, and courage. And it is a reminder to all of us that no matter what hardships we may face, God is always there for us in our dire times of need. He is there for us, always.

Cornerstone - TobyMac

Listen to the song ‘Cornerstone’ by TobyMac and be encouraged by the hopeful lyrics.

“Lookin' out my window, feelin' the crescendo, sunset on a quiet sea
Sitting with the ones that I'll forever love, we're waitin' on a flash of green
And even when the nights got cold, You have always held me close
You're the only rock that I could ever stand on, You're the only one for me”

TobyMac shares about the time he was burying his first son in Franklin, Tennessee, when God met him in his moment of deep pain with wisdom and hope.

“I just looked at my kids and my wife, and I said, ‘Wow, we have to rebuild. And we’re not going to build on finances; we’re not going to build on prescription drugs or alcohol; we’re not going to build on being victims. We are going to build on the Rock,’” he said.

“The world’s tricky. I built on things I shouldn’t have been building on. And I said, ‘We have a chance to rebuild now. We have to. We have no choice — our world’s been devastated, but we will rebuild on the Rock.’”

The song ‘Cornerstone’ is from TobyMac’s album Life After Death, and it features the soulful voice of Zach Williams. He comes in on the bridge of the song that nods to the classic hymn ‘On Christ The Solid Rock I Stand.’

The music video shows multiple people who are broken and putting their faith and efforts into things in this world that are as solid as sinking sand. Then at the end of the video, a house can be seen that is built on a solid foundation, one made of rock. Our God is that solid foundation for all of us that we can build our lives on.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘Cornerstone’ by TobyMac today!

It Comforts Me

Video filmed at my actual church, Crossroads Christian Fellowship Church

Christian Family Sings ‘Something ‘Bout The Name Of Jesus’

Three young women sang a lovely tune about all the power in the name of Jesus Christ.

In His time on Earth, Jesus Christ performed many miracles. He provided those unable to see with the gift of sight. Those crippled regained their ability to walk. He healed the sick, drove out demons and even brought the dead back to life.

Yes, the name of Jesus is powerful, life-changing and life-giving. He forever altered the world and continues to do so. In John 14:6, Jesus referred to Himself as “the way, the truth and the life.” He added, “no man comes to the Father, but by me.”

The Detty Family – a mother and her two daughters – sing “Something ‘Bout the Name of Jesus,” in which they specifically mention the wonderful and miraculous works of Christ. They also point out how Christ has personally touched their lives.

In the first verse, one of the young girls sings about the way in which Christ worked and performed a miracle during one of the enemy's many schemes. He, His Word mentions, is always faithful, loving and merciful.

In the tune's chorus, the mother and the two daughters sing about the awe-inspiring properties contained in the name of Jesus. Jesus is healing and His name is peace!

“There’s something ‘bout the name of Jesus
There’s healing in the name of Jesus
There’s peace in the name of Jesus”

In the second verse, one of the girls sings that Christ came and found her during a distressing and troubling time of life. She adds that she knows, without a doubt, that Jesus Christ delivered her from that situation.

In addition to the lovely, truth-filled message in the song’s lyrics, the video is shot beautifully. The three women walk and sing together in picturesque country landscapes, settings often found in expert-level paintings and award-winning photographs.

Acts 4:12 “And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.”

Andrea Bocelli Sings ‘Amazing Grace’ In The Middle Of Times Square

One of the world’s most beautiful voices sang a beloved hymn in one of the most visited locations on Earth, making for a wonderful, moving and touching performance.

“Victory in Jesus,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Great is Thy Faithfulness” are all beautifully written, truth-filled and classic hymns. However, whenever someone mentions the word “hymn,” there is likely one that comes to mind for most people: “Amazing Grace.”

“Amazing Grace” is a beloved work about the moment and the change God made in the songwriter's life. God, due to his immense love, mercy and grace, saved a "wretch like me."

"Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I was once lost, but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see"

Andrea Bocelli, a world-renowned Italian singer, performed the song about love and the unending grace of God in the middle of Times Square in New York City.

In the video, Andrea stands on a stage and performs in the “heart of civilization” as hundreds of people crowd around, taking in this stunning performance.

The song, with its message about God's saving grace, reaches the ears of hundreds and possibly thousands of people, as shown in the video. Dozens of people hold up their phones or cameras to capture the special and wonderful moment.

Times Square, one of the most visited tourist locations in the world, is usually filled with hustle, bustle and an endless array of noise and chatter. However, as the video shows, it’s essentially quiet except for Andrea’s voice as he sings the touching and heartfelt lyrics that mean so much to so many.

Andrea’s performance in the “city that never sleeps” happened at the premiere of the film “The Journey." The movie features performances from and interviews with the beloved Italian singer.

Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”

1 Man Performs A Cappella Rendition Of ‘Tell It To Jesus’

One talented singer displayed his immense musical talent while singing a song of praise about the Lord.

Technological breakthroughs have helped bring about advances in the medical, automotive and entertainment fields. We can now have takeout  delivered, schedule a virtual doctor’s appointment, request a ride to the grocery store and watch a newly released movie all with a few clicks on our phone.

Technology has also made it possible to worship and praise the Lord in ways that would have been unheard of even 30, 20 and likely even 10 years ago. One man used his talent and technological know-how to praise God.

In a video posted to YouTube, Kaoma Chende sings “Tell It to Jesus” using only the power of his singing voice. However, he sings in four different vocal ranges and appears on the screen in four separate places while doing it.

At different times throughout the video, he even appears to interact…with himself. One of the four Kaomas one screen, at different times throughout the video, will either smile, point or simply look in the direction of one of the other Kaomas.

In addition to the creative aspect of the video, the song’s lyrics and message are also moving, touching and heartfelt. The tune's words inform and encourage listeners to cast their fears, worries and other concerns upon Jesus. As God’s Word mentions, He will never leave or forsake us during our time of need.

“Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus
He is a Friend that’s well known
You’ve no other such a friend or brother
Tell it to Jesus alone”

Using his talent and creativity, Kaoma has created a terribly fun and enjoyable video of him praising the Lord.

In the About section on his channel, Kaoma states that he is “thankful I can share my love for music with everyone that comes across it,” adding that “all praise belong to the most high.”

Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not.”

Mother Sings Musical Rendition Of Psalm 23 To Baby Girl

One talented musician used the words of a beloved passage in the Bible to create and sing a song to her beautiful baby girl.

The book of Psalms is one of, if not the most recognizable and quoted books from the Old Testament. That book is made up of short, concise writings that dispense time-honored wisdom and guidance for all situations someone may encounter. However, as beloved as the book of Psalms may be, Psalm 23 is arguably the most well-known passage in the entire book.

In a video posted to YouTube, Sounds Like Reign used the verses in Psalm 23 to create their song “The Lord’s My Shepherd.” That tune and that passage of Scripture are about the Lord’s unceasing love and calm, steady protection during life’s troubles and trials.

The song’s first verse is the first three verses of Psalm 23. The song’s second verse jumps around a little, incorporating parts of the third verse and it then skips down to the fifth verse in that chapter, which mentions the anointing with oil and an overflowing cup.

In the chorus of the beautiful track, which appears to be original, the musician repeatedly states their total and complete trust in the Lord. It also mentions the Lord’s boundless mercy and goodness.

“And I will trust in You Alone
For Your endless mercy follows me
Your goodness will lead me home”

In addition to the song’s beautiful lyrics, the video is a sight to behold. It is filmed and edited together wonderfully, showing a mother interacting with and singing to her baby girl as they sit on a blanket in a green, lush meadow.

The song’s video also displays a man, presumably a father, leading a child by the hand as they hike into the forest. They also throw stones, kneel by a stream and enjoy God’s wonderful and marvelous creation.

Ezekiel 34:12 “As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.”
