The Voice Winner Todd Tilghman reminds us to enjoy each moment with the powerful words of ‘Slow Down.’
“‘Slow down
Just take your time, live it right now
Blink of an eye you’ll be right here
Wishing you could go back to these years”
When we first met Todd, he was a nervous wreck standing in front of The Voice judges. But after hearing his blind audition of ‘We’ve Got The Night’ from Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, there was absolutely no reason for all those nerves.
All four judges fought for Todd, but he ultimately chose to become a part of Team Blake.
As if his performances weren’t impressive enough, Todd revealed that he is actually a pastor with eight kids at home.
Throughout the season, Todd continued to showcase his incredible talent and love for the Lord. Ultimately, he was crowned the winner after a soul-stirring rendition of ‘I Can Only Imagine.’
Today, he is sharing an important reminder about taking a step back and cherishing each moment with his latest song, ‘Slow Down.’
“So lean more on the brake and less on the gas
These days won’t come back around
Slow down'”
On Instagram, Todd wrote this about the song. “Slow Down is my favorite kind of song: the kind that reminds us to make every day count and love extravagantly. Time is a thief. Enjoy every moment.”
Hebrews 13:5 “Be free from the love of money and pleased with the things which you have; for he himself has said, I will be with you at all times.”
This 1912 song was written by C. Austin Miles and decades later, it still remains one of the most popular hymns of all time.
“I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses”

“And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known”
