Former President Bill Clinton suggested on Sunday that Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh got what he deserved when he was accused in his confirmation hearing of sexual assault — seeing it as payback for his role in investigating the Clintons in the 1990s.

The Washington Examiner reports Clinton spoke about Kavanaugh during a speaking tour with his wife, Hillary, saying “He didn't have any problem making us put up with three years of Vince Foster nonsense that was a total charade."

Kavanaugh further investigated the death of Vince Foster in 1993, not convinced at the time that it was a suicide.

After a three-year investigation, Kavanaugh concluded in 1997 that Foster had indeed killed himself.
