After massive wins in the 2024 elections, Congressional Republicans are eager to dive right in and make a difference in 2025. Congresswoman Lisa McClain, the newly elected Chair of the House Republican Conference, says border security, the economy, and global peace and stability are the top issues on the GOP agenda.

John Hart, CEO of the non-profit government transparency group Open the Books, says there are several areas in the Federal Budget that definitely need to be cut. He points out that the Department of Health and Human Services alone employs 294 staffers who earn nearly $40 million annually to work on DEI initiatives.
