Notes From The Road - My Birthday

This time of year, a lot of us are catching up on our holiday bills and looking ahead to the new year with optimism. And for some, the idea of a vacation can seem out of reach due to the biggest factor, the expense. Let me be clear. You are not alone. This year, I am turning 50 and a lot of my friends had big blowout parties. So, naturally, I wanted to do the same. But in the end, I decided to postpone it because the party I wanted to host simply wasn’t in my budget. And you know what? I’m okay with it. This year, I’ll throw an intimate affair with family and close friends. Next year (in 2025) we’ll have a really big wing ding! Plus, next year my youngest daughter turns 13 (we share the same birthday). Let planning a vacation be a source of happiness and joy, not stress. Save what you can for a vacation by cutting back on some of your everyday luxuries (ahem..Starbucks!) because travel is so worth it. Exploring new places or visiting old favorites recharges the mind, body, and soul. Have a wonderful week and I look forward to hearing about your next great adventure.
