Attorney Patrick Smith takes the wheel for a wild ride through the laws of Uber (and Lyft) — from Florida’s three-phase rideshare insurance rules and million-dollar liability coverage to the infamous cleaning fees that hit when someone spills chili, tracks in soil… or worse. Isaiah (a real-life Uber driver) shares his own war stories of passengers who refused to clean up, while the crew debates everything from service animals and weapons bans to what happens when a driver leaves you stranded after a messy situation.

Surf’s Up with Maddie the Surfer Girl delivers the heavy hitters: a $40 million arbitration award after a young woman was left by an Uber driver and killed, an alleged nine-hour hostage situation involving an Uber driver in Los Angeles, and Indian Rocks Beach doubling short-term rental fees (cue the next round of lawsuits).

Plus first-time caller Barbara needs help with a mesothelioma settlement check, an EIN, and maybe a date… while the usual banter covers Abby’s upcoming blind date, Spike’s janitorial duties, shirtless neighborhood runs, and cold-weather Florida complaints.
