🌟 Hello Florida! 🌟 Join Joe Mullins on The Joe Mullins Show – Live, Work, Shop, Play for a powerful conversation with Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson, recorded on location in Palm Beach.
Commissioner Simpson breaks down why agriculture is one of the three pillars of Florida’s economy — supplying 80% of the fresh vegetables sold on the entire Eastern Seaboard, supporting nearly a million head of cattle, a $10+ billion horse industry, dairy, and more. He explains the Rural & Family Lands program that has already protected 250,000 acres of farmland, the wildlife corridor, and the Farmers Feeding Florida initiative that gets fresh Florida food to communities across all 67 counties.
They also discuss food-supply security, the fight against pests like the New World screwworm, interdiction stations protecting Florida’s borders, and the dramatic difference in federal partnership under the current administration versus the previous one. Simpson closes with a clear message on the importance of the upcoming elections and why Florida must stay the Free State of Florida.
